Singer Ari Lennox Featured On New Song “Bed of Lies” By Her Cousin, JaeRene Who Was Tragically Killed

Houston, Texas- In April 2021 the world lost a talented soul by the name of Jaelyn “JaeRene” Chapman. She was tragically killed by a drunk driver [see previous post]. The 19-year old singer was a community leader, songwriter, performer, and the younger cousin of award-winning singer, Ari Lennox. Prior to her untimely passing, JaeRene had recorded a song by the name of “Bed of Lies”. The song was inspired by a chain of real-life situations consisting of dishonesty within relationships. It was JaeRene’s hope to have her cousin, Ari Lennox on this song. Ari received notice of JaeRene’s request after her passing and was honored to record a verse on the song.

“ Jaelyn (JaeRene) means the world to me. Her immaculate voice has so much control, rifts, colors, and layers. I’m simply honored to be featured on this beautiful record she wrote, Bed of Lies. I’ve been a fan of hers ever since I heard her sing at the age of 9. Her debut EP is a true favorite of mine. Paradise and Ride or Die have been on repeat ever since.”

-Ari Lennox

Bed of Lies is a single from JaeRene’s final project titled “Unfinished”, which features artists such as Z-Ro, Paul Wall, Marqus Clae, Inayah Lamis, and more. The talented artist had such a bright future ahead of her, but her family’s prayer is that her music will live on forever and that her fans and supporters will make wise decisions to not drink and drive.

About JaeRene:

Her diverse sound was featured on one of Houston’s most requested song, “H-Town For Real (Remix)”, which featured artists such as Kiotti, Paul Wall, Lil Flip, Kiotti, Trilly Polk, ZRo, and various Houston-based talents. In addition to singing, JaeRene also wrote her own music, which was often inspired by life situations.
